spoke with Jacs today and he agreed that it will be a nightmare to host an ironman here in cebu. I did suggested Bohol as the best alternative venue. Transportation going there is not a problem even from Manila and so is the accommodation...which has been a problem with Camsur. No wonder they only take in 500+ athletes for the race. With Bohol's pristine beaches for the swim leg and roads very good for the bike and run leg, i don't see why Bohol can't be a good candidate to host an Ironman. For sure more foreign athletes would be willing to race in Bohol. A great place to race and enjoy at the same time...mura ni ug Phuket Triathlon but better. Wink

Anyway lets see if they will push through with the project...organizing an ironman is 3 times the headache compared to organizing a marathon but ato ni tabangan sila Jacs on anyway we can kung madayon man gani.
