Sugbu Triathlon to hold Tri-ur-own
By Iste S. Leopoldo

SUGBU Triathlon will hold a unique race called “Tri-ur-own” on May 23 and July 18 in Catmon.
Sugbu Triathlon president Anton Regis said the event aims to attract potential triathletes and to give current athletes a competition.

“This is also for fun, a way of uniting triathlon aficionados and for newbies to get a taste of what triathlon is about. They don’t need to go through the standard distances kay sila na bahala sa ilang distance,” Regis said

He added they created this kind of race because they believe that people have different fitness levels, that’s why they made the sport “flexible” for beginners.

When the beginners get serious, they can compete in the standard distance.

“This is an ‘inato’ event so there will be no marshals. Participants will have to look out for themselves and others as well,” Regis said.
