mga bossing, unsa kahag mag organize ta ug weekly runs.  lets say for starters lang once a week lang sa and then if maayo gani ug review kay ato dugangan if the need arises?

ang ako idea ani is naay mo take charge nga kanang naay taas2x na ug running experience, dili gud necessary nga naay PHD sa running ba, parehas ba ron ni bai joecax(example lang taka bai joecax ha..peace!,  if naa ko diha sa  cebu kay pwede sd kunohay ko ani mo volunteer as run leader Smiley  ) mao untay pwede mo lead sa pack, unya before managan kay share sad siya gamay sa iyahang warm up exercise ba ron.

dili ni meant para sa mga professional runners/triathletes pero if ganahan sila mo join kay pwede ra jud.  ako idea is para maka pundok ta ug mga potential newbie runners ba.  target jud ani are the newbie runners and intermediate runners nga gusto moapil ug group runs ba aron dili boring.

running lang sa nato sugdan kay eventually if mo seryoso na sila sa active lifestyle, mo cross train man jud na... which will eventually lead to biking and maybe even swimming... so puhon mag triathlon ra gyapon sila.  Smiley

tanaw nako ang IT park is a nice venue for this kay accessible kaayo ang lugar.  adto rasad mag tuyok2x para ma monitor ra ang runners sa run leader.  para sa run leader ani, huna-hunaa lang nga easy run rani and ayaw sd paspasi ug dagan.  assist ra gud ta sa newbie runners.  importante lang nga whoever will join this activity kay papirmahon lang jud ug waiver nato, simbako palayo.

ato lang jud e klaro nga it is going to be an open group run(organized by sugbutri), ug dili siya running clinic. pero if naa silay mga pangutana nga kaya nato tubagon kay e share sd gud nato ato nahibaw-an.  hopefully managhan nata aning atoang bisyo unya healthy pud atong lifestyle!

watchu think? (puhon if maayo dagan ani unya naa ko cebu kay mo volunteer jud ko as run leader) Smiley

nice imo idea bai.. actually naa weekly night run every Friday sa sunstar lead by Max Limpag. they call themselves Ungo runners. hehe everybody is welcome to join their group runs. kung planu ta mg himo ug ato nga version, cguro we can tie-up with a running store like Runnr Ayala nya hold our runs every Monday or Tuesday ba. mas maayo sad kung mka hatag ang ato na tie up na store ug discounts or freebies ba rn sa mga runners/volunteers kay dako gyud ni matabang sa store.

Actually si Raffy Osumo gusto mang-hatag ug discount sa taga Sugbu Tri.  But I think they also want something from us.  basin mao na inyo idea ni Ziggy ug Joecax combined.

gear up for newbies, advance newbies and avid runners.

kadtong newbies, naa cla pacers or guardian angels mag uban sa ilaha sa run. dapat pud well verse ang guardian angel regarding sa running and nutrition aron pud wholistic ang development sa newbies. Maau pud unta if open for cross training ang program and varied ang run/training route aron lingaw. Nya naay groupmail aron dali ra sa communication, like yahoogroups. Then add pictures for weekly activity post/upload sa net aron naa cla to look up sa recent activities. Naa pud training tips and weekly run sched. NAa monthly LSD 30km and up, naa pud race pace once a week, recovery run once a week and easy steady pace once a week.. or too much ra? Varied na cya ha.. newbie may join the easy steady pace nga gi do sa mga advance newbie and avid runners after sa ilang race pace that week.. or unsa man gani. ^_^

just my 2 cents

Nindot imo suggestions triblues.  Pwede gani ni mahimong laag run.  Why just run in metro Cebu when there are plenty of great palces to run.  We can hop on a bus and run from Carcar to Argao and back to Carcar where we can eat lechon sa mercado pagkahuman.  Then hop on a bus again uli sa Cebu City.  Kani nga ruta shaded by huge Acacia trees so we don't have to be super early.  I was there twice for hearing this week,  It looks like a good route.

That's a great idea! here is my unsolicited 2 cents.

Just start simple nothing big and fancy.  Set the day of the week, time, route and frequency when you want to have these group runs.  Also always keep in the back of your minds the safety of the runners.  Go out and have fun, share your own experiences and what works for you and what doesn't.

I believe in all things to make something successful is consistency.  So once you have establish something going on then you can start to plan making this group runs bigger.

Cheers!
