Sharing some old triathlon terminologies from Sally Edwards book, Triathlon A Triple Fitness Sport published in 1983. These words came from Sally's experiences and reflections.
TRIATHLETIC: The type of muscular, powerful, agile physique typical of a triathlete; an adjective referring to the sport.
TRIATHLETICISM: Adherence to, addiction to, or passion for triple fitness, or the quality of whole-body aerobic fitness.
TRIATHLETICS: The sport of triathlons.
TRIATHLOID: One who prefers to survive triathlons rather than train for them.
TRIATHLOID CRAWL: Crossing the triathlon finish line on all fours (hands and knees) due to the inability to maintain an upright posture. The ultimate athletic insult as the triathloid is reduced to this incapacitated condition.
TRI'ED: The past tense of the verb to triathlon.
TRI-ING: The activity of participating in triathlons.
