Congratulations to Joy Rojas who just completed her Takbong Pangarap run from California to New York...... She ran a total of 3,000 miles (5,000 kilometers).  She became the very first Filipina to run across America.

She doesn't have a lot of media coverage but if you are FB friends with Noy he has some more video footage of Joy running in New Jersey....

It is truly inspiring because she didn't do this run for herself but she also did it for the Philippine Heart Center.   Joy started back early May in Eagle Rock California and was scheduled to arrive New York back in September, but along the way she got injured.   She had to stop for about 6 weeks but that didn't stop her from achieving her Dream.

Joy finally arrived Sunday Nov. 22 in New York with a huge smile  Grin she said she ran as far as 35 miles in one day and as low as 3 miles due to injury, but her average run mileage was 26 miles (42K) Shocked
