The 2 oldie riders in Ti bikes are both retired Armies. Both are Brig.Generals and with same Patrick first names. According to these Patrick Generals, they choose Ti bikes because its their rigs til the end of their times. The 3 of us pedalled side by side from start to end during the last Sundays (April 26) 20 mi/hr joy ride. The 5 Borough Tour PRE-ride exclusively for Volunteers is about 45 miles from the Battery Park-Manhattan; Bronx; Queens; Brooklyn and ended in Staten Island Super init, mura og sa atoa. We finished the whole route for 5 long hours due to numerous stops for safety intructions

The picture that follows after the oldie Team Army is my new friend, Mike. He gave me a LiveStrong wrist band hence he is one of the officers of LanceArmstrong Foundation's. He said his job paid him well in all angles of his life.
Tomorrow, May 3, 2009 I'll see all these friends again but not riding our bikes anymore' but as Volunteers/officials to help keep the event a safe and memorable cycling experience for all the 30,000 riders. 'The NYC 5-boro Tour is knowned to be the biggest cycling fun-ride in the whole America if not in the whole planet". (qouted from the head/captains of the ride)

wow 30,000 riders! dghana ana gud!
Karon pako mata, laspag gamay kay rainin the whole day 0f the 5 boro tour. Hitak kaayo lapok sa finish/award/party area in Staten Island where I was assigned as back-up bike mechanic and in Merchandise store. (awarded w bike event du-rags & socks i'll send to you guys) According to organizers' estimate, its only like 25,000 riders who started on the tour and like 20,000 or less who crossed the finished line due to weather conditions. First in the history when the tour was attacked with whole day showers with visibility of like a km and less. The rain and mud in our Staten Island location was BRUTAL (as what most people said), I could compare it to the 2004 Mannunggal MTB ride and Camp-out with Sir Ric, his son, Johhny &me. Murag lunangan sa kabaw abi nako sa Pinas ra naay ingon ani

THANKS bai, thats the bike Ive just finished building for Olive. Its size 48 but Olive got some trouble to its stand-over ht. due to its frame/horizontal top tube. So we switched, and shes using my tcr1 with the sloping frame. I'll be using this Kestrel in Cobra IM.

No prob Bro actually naa na koy wrist band ako napangayo when Lance 1st Run in the NYC Marathon. Ako man gani nahatag ang extra ni Adan Muana the last time I was in Cebu. As Volunteers, we were favored to have an exclusive PRE-Ride the Sunday before the 5 BORO Tour. On the day itself, we're assigned in designated stations where our skills could serve and fit for best purposes. Strong Cyclists volunteers are moving Marshalls and RideCAPTAINs as swippers and guides in the route.
