Any suggestions of additional Categories & Boards?

The forum is arranged in this basic hierarchy:

- Category 1
       - Board 1
       - ...
       - Board xxx

- Category X
       - Board 1
       - ...
       - Board xxx

Under each board are the topics.

t'olive,

Made this new topic here http://www.forum.sugbutriathlon.com/index.php?topic=55.0
I named it 'how do we make triathlon flourish in cebu?'
...or shall we call it another name?

Hmmm... you mean a banner that says that there are photos inside the forum, they need to register and login to see them? Yes sure. Dali ra.

Relating to this matter, i have given it some thought. I am assuming not all of our audience are not into forums. It would be good to give these type of audience a share of photos or maybe even videos. I believe this will also help encourage them to register to our forum. Well maybe we can make a feature that only members can add comments on photos. I'm still working on this feature, I'm hoping to finish soon if i can, otherwise its just pictures for everyone.

Yeah sakto gyod bro doble trabaho. Siguro i-centralize nalang nato to a gallery sa ato website, dili sa forum. Hopefully i'll have more time to work on it. It would be nice if members can upload their own photos to the gallery and allow members to comment if they like. I'm just looking for & testing some modules to plug-in sa ato website. I don't have to create it to save time.

chono,

This is Slash. You guys have done a great job in reviving the triathlon in Cebu. I know it's a long way to go but I'm sure you guys can make it if you'll stay focus and pull some resource (ppol) and good practices. Cebu is naturally a place for triathlon event, with wonderful beaches and nice weather. I'm looking at your website and I'm impress the way you're bringing this forward. If I am only there I'd be happy to join the club. However, I'd like to share some thoughts from a trainer's point of view, you must approach putting the event with respect to periodization training. Meaning, there's an off-season and in-season. We want to promote the sports by having a large number of participants as much as we can as well as retaining them for long-term whether turning pro or a hobby. There must be a clinics to be conducted at least 5-3 months prior the event so as educating them and bring the awareness and benefits of the sports in promoting fitness and wellness. So you pulling people from different field of expertise swimmers, cyclists, runners, PE teachers, fitness professionals and sports business people and bring them in one event that they may speak, sort of like a tri-summit. With the right publicity and the right execution, I'm sure it's achievable. I know there's an associated risk since this may require some capital in doing that, but never the less the the way to bring this forward.
