grabe ni. ok why not. fred uytengsu claims to be cebuano after all. we have xterra and 70.3, best of both worlds for sugbu's triathlon scene! but showcasing other parts of the country who badly needs the exposure is not so bad either..

By the way boys & girls mag share lang ko... dili madayon ang TriLapuLapu karong december. Mag holat lang ta announcement ni Harry Radaza. Kita ko sa rota sa TriLapuLapu. 4 loops ang bike: Quezon National Hiway(dapit Petron the one topad sa airport runway) to intersection of Mactan Circumferenctial rd and Marigondon rd. Ang run about 4 loops sa Punta Engano rd. Medyo daghan loops pero ang Aviva 70.3 IM SG kay 3 loops bike and about 3 loops sad ang run.
I am not sure how to put this pero they have to make the route world class if sa Cebu. Maybe Bantayan island or camotes island may be better at scenery pero the accommodation might be short.
If Mactan island, accommodation can easily answer to 2000+ athletes plus family and friends. I am positive that they will be creative in making the route match the standards of WTC. Hopefully hopefully diri Cebu.If somewhere else, combati gihapon.

Even better kung Bantayan or Camotes! Murag ma short jud ang accommodation but basin naay adopt-a-triathlete program among residents. heehee... This was done in remote surfing areas in Lanuza or Pagudpud. :-)

dont worry bro! if ever madayun nga sa south, i-sirado gyud na ang road for bike routes para safe.. were talking about Ironman sanctioned race here.. dili ni siya ingon parehas sa mga duwa nato dire nga "tigbakay", ang maligsan sa bus, TIGBAK! hahahha anyhow, napa close man gani ang roads for NAGT! kani pa kaha!

I hope somewhere in the Visayas ang 70.3 next year. Common place sa tanan. convenient pud sa mga international/foreign athletes kay dali ra kaayo ang logistics. Bohol is a good candidate, kung mu support ang Local gov;t didto. Danao or North of Cebu ok ra pud as long as ma minimize ang traffic sa national highway..

Koykoy mora tino-od na gyod ni da. I heard from another source nga aug.12 na daw diri cebu. Mo agi ang bike sa recla & srp just like what you said. received a text this morning: "from brando velesquez, supervisor of ccsc: tentative date is aug 12 - ironman 70.3 cebu, talking terms pa nuon"
palami... padako sa pusta...
... and the drama continues.... hehehe
