Watch out for yet another first for Catbalogan City and for the whole island of Samar.

Events
Swimming - 750 meters - Guinsorongan Beach
Biking - 30 kilometers - Guinsorongan Beach to Buri Airport to City Hall
Running - 7 kilometers - City Hall to Barangay Payao then back to City Hall
= 37.7 kilometers
------------------
The Triathlon is open to all athletes both amateurs and professionals aging from 18 to 60 years old.

Prizes
P50, 000.00 Cash and Trophy - First Place
P30, 000.00 Cash and Trophy - Second Place
P10, 000.00 Cash and Trophy - Third Place
Apart from the first three finishers who will bag the cash prizes, earliest finishers for the following age categories will receive medals:
18 to 25 years old
26 to 30 years old
31 to 35 years old
36 to 40 years old
41 to 50 years old
51 to 60 years old

P1,500.00 for each participant

not on the same date, IM PH is on the 14th of August but this race is a week after IM. Murag recovery pa man ta ani but will try this out. They will have more participants if they can move the race at a later date, on the 21st perhaps?
BUT dili ba mu palag WTC ani why they are using "IronMan", which is owned and registered to WTC...i think they would need to change the event name and take out ironman. This happened years back where manila guys were forced to change the event name also.
Anyway, congrats to the people behind this event!

the event is on Sunday, August 21 · 6:00am - 12:00pm a week after CAMSUR Ironman....I'll inform the event organizer in relation to the event title issues...ask lang cla tabang to promote the event...thanks
