Registration for the mini tri event starts now! Race venue is at Scuba World, Punta Engano, Mactan Island. Date is January 25, 2009. Distance is 300m swim - 15km bike - 3km run. Assembly/Body marking 6AM. Race starts at 7AM. Lets do body marking just for the fun of it. Hehe.

We need to know how many pips are getting inside Scuba World. We don't want to disturb too much of Scuba World's business operation. Maybe max of 20 people is tolerable otherwise we'll have to move some place else like Karancho beach resort or Hadsan. Depending on the race venue, if it is not free, we'll have to add on to the pipti pisos registration. If we opt for Scuba World, pipti pisos is ok. We'll just have to make this category open to road bikes and mountain bikes for now. This event is not sponsored, so please bring your own water supply, etc and also race at your own risk. We are doing this for fun just like recla's bente bente crit.

A very very special thanks to Scuba World and Paul Ancla for this great venue!

Please indicate "sure na" or "maybe". By the way, please register pips here you know that are interested. Registration deadline on Jan. 23, 2009.

By the way I am just wondering if 20km bike is alright. We can shorten it to 10km ride. Which do you think is best? It might be long for some. And also some might be considering joining the 21km sinulog run, the epic ride on Jan.31 and then this even too. I am fine with 10km bike if its for the good of everbody. Please tingog mo!

Yes I assume its free Paul Ancla told me that we can use the place. I am waiting for his email reply if there is a cottage we can rent or if its part of their offer.

I haven't measured scuba world yet for our mini tri event.
I dont know when i can do it yet.
I might measure via google earth if i dont get the chance.
If someone is willing to measure, then that would be great!
Ang swim, ato lang i mata mata gud since its difficult to measure.

Unsa recommended route for the bike and run?
Initially, basing from my ride to punta engano yearss ago, I am thinking run leg is ok going further to hilton/punta engano but i don't know the status of the road there if its better for biking. Bike leg perhaps going to Bigfoot. RJ, you mentioned something about agus or a proposed route? I don't know where agus is.
